Types of floor plans
Cobogó
Coming from Pernambuco, Cobogos were created by three Recife engineers – Amadeu Oliveira Coimbra, Ernest August Boeckmann and Antônio de Góis – in 1929 and 1930. The word Cobogó emerged from the combination of the initials of the last names of the three.
Well, aside from history, it is a fact that Cobogos dominated the scene once again, and these days they are represented in various projects, from the simplest to the most demanding.
The cobogos are nothing more than worn-out elements, which are usually made of cement and allow air circulation and natural light.
They can also be found in clay, ceramics and glass in a wide variety of shapes and colors.
Wood
Wood is always a role model in architecture and design projects. Wood enables different shapes and designs for partitions. The material can be used in various types of decorations, from modern to classic to rustic.
With the wood it is also possible to create partitions and sliding doors, which are highly valued in current projects.
drywall
For those who want an entire closed partition, you can bet on the drywall. The material is a composite of plaster that is fastened in galvanized steel structures. The good side of this type of partition wall compared to a conventional wall is its simple and quick installation, the reduced costs and the possibility to remove it in the future without damaging the structure of the house.
stones
Among the stones that are most commonly used to create partitions are marble and granite. The stones give the environment a touch of class and luxury, but are limited in shape and design. The stones also do not allow the exchange of light and ventilation between the surroundings, except in cases where they are installed in separate vertical parts.
Metal or iron
Steel or iron plates can also be used as partitions and give the environment a modern and industrial look. The panels can either be leaked or whole, depending on the style you want to give the project.
Another way to use the material in the partitions is to use it in the structure. In this model, the partition resembles a bookshelf.
Glass
Glass is a very versatile material and can be used as a separating element in different ways. Glass stones are one of the most common types. They are great for ensuring privacy since it is not possible to have a clear view of the other side through them. Although they let light through, glass blocks are not well suited for air circulation because they are completely enclosed unless they are installed with space in between.
But if you still want to put on the glass, you can opt for a single colorless, smoked or blasted sheet. This type of partition is similar to a bathroom stall. In this case it is possible to install with leaked parts that allow ventilation.
Other materials
In addition to the materials mentioned above, it is still possible to use partition walls for umbrellas, fabric curtains and many other possibilities as curtains. There are also many partition wall designs with recyclable materials such as glass bottles, cardboard, paper and PVC pipes.
