The gypsum wall , known as the drywall system , is the assembly of a wall using an aluminum structure covered with a sheet of plasterboard and attached directly to these profiles.
Depending on the environment to be used, it is necessary to know the type of sheet, which differs by the shades and functions:
- The green, called UK, is indicated for wet areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and service area.
- The rose, called RF, is fire resistant and is therefore recommended in countertops with a hob and fireplace.
- And finally, the white ST, the simplest to use in the cladding and walls of traditional environments such as rooms, corridors and bedrooms.
Layout of the plaster wall
- Plasterboard for any type of environment need
- Metal structure
- Screws and bushings
- Sealing tape for closing panels
- Thermoacoustic insulating ceiling
- Hydraulic and electrical installations in drywall
- Finishing (sanding and painting)
This type of material is resistant due to its metallic structure, which requires sufficient reinforcement to insert furniture and doors into the desired wall.
In decoration, the plaster wall allows several types of surfaces! From a simple painting to emphasize its presence, to more sophisticated coatings that accompany the rest of the scenery.
Difference between masonry and plaster
Because they are different materials, they have opposite properties. In addition to the shape of the laying, the expansion of the plaster is less than with the conventional wall. In this way, cracks and cracks in the structure movements are smaller. The system is not as impact-resistant as masonry, but every project has its own particularity in structural calculations.
What is the value of plaster walls and drywall?
The average price per square meter for a plaster wall can be from R 00 to R 00. In masonry, this value can increase by 20%. This value can often be different in each region due to labor and material access, which varies the footage in each city.
